Updates

The 20140101 beta release of the ircDDB Gateway

This is a very minor upgrade which only includes fixes to allow for the compilation of the STARnet Server with DEXTRA_LINK defined. There are no other changes.

There is a new Windows installable version despite their being no changes to it bar the release date and SVN revision identifier. Upgrading from 20131231 is not essential.

Anyone building their own distributions should get the source code from SVN again.

The 20131231 beta release of the ircDDB Gateway

Hi Folks

Just a minor release of the gateway which collects a few minor changes together. Since it's the end of the year, I may as well clear the decks by releasing it all. The changes are:

1. Use latest DExtra and D-Plus host files based on Adrian VK4TUX's.

2. Added new QuadNet ircDDB server.

3. Ignore new CCS message type.

Any problems with the DExtra or D-Plus hosts files should be addressed to Adrian....

Happy New Year to you all.

The 20131231 beta release of the D-Star repeater

Hi Folks

The recent "discussion" about black and white lists, along with the release of the DV-RPTR V3 modem, has given me an excuse to release a new beta of the D-Star repeaters. The changes are:

1. More cleanups.

2. Removed the white list functionality. The handling of the black and grey lists will also change in the future too, in order to remove abuse of these facilities.

3. Added explicit support for the DV-RPTR V3 modem. In actual fact it is the same as a DV-RPTR V2 modem (not that I have one of either :-( ) but it now has its own entry in the associated repeaters.

I had hoped to include extra code to explicitly handle the different licence classes in France, and I will do so once the information needed is communicated to me.

Happy New Year to you all.

The 20130904 beta release (repeater)

Yep another.....

I've removed even more of the changes from the last release to make it pretty close to the 20130726 beta release. The only additions now are the TX Delay for the DV-RPTR V2 in the D-Star Repeater, fixes for rubbish being sent by the XDVRPTR firmware and the removal of the DC blocker from the sound card repeaters.

As before, no Windows version :-( but it will be uploaded on Saturday if this is a good release.

To package maintainers: please do a "make clean" before building this version to ensure that there are no left overs from previous releases.

Thanks

The 20131001 beta release (ircddbGateway)

Hi Folks

This is a small upgrade on the last beta, not much new functionality, which is down to having less time and being on the end of a very poor Internet connection. That is the reason why the Windows .exe version is missing, it exists on my PC here but will be uploaded on Saturday morning I hope. I have now got a more modern edition of Ubuntu Linux running here in a virtual machine which has helped me find a few more silly issues in the source code which I have fixed.

The changes are:

1. Updated XRF012, XRF119, XRF333, and XRFWDXs IP addresses.

2. Added CCS001(GER), CCS007(NLD), CCS013(NOR), CCS020(USA), CCS022(JPN) and CCS024(USA)

3. Added DCS024(USA) and DCS025(GER).

5. Added new Quadnet ircDDB server.

6. Add homebrew DD data support.

7. Catch exceptions and other C++ changes in the ircDDB Gateway and STARnet Digital Server.

Item 6 is interesting as I have found some *very* interesting hardware which'll allow for full speed DD mode on 23cms which will be compatible with Icom hardware. In the meantime I have added support in the gateway for DD mode over the homebrew gateway to repeater protocol.

The 20130903 beta release (repeater)

Hi Folks

I'm not sure why the DV-RPTR V1 support died. So this new beta rolls back a number of the changes that I made in the 20130831 beta in the hope that one of those fixes it. The other change in this release is the removal of the DC blocker from the sound card repeaters in the hope that it fixes the BER problem.

Unlike a normal beta release, there is no Windows version as my Internet connection is just too rubbish to allow me to upload it. I'll do so at the weekend when I'm at home. I'm currently sitting in a hotel near to Basingstoke with almost no facilities so please bear with me.
